James Seddon

James is an Industrial Designer at Innovate who specialises in User-Centred Design and Inclusive Design. James strongly believes that key user research, at the early stages of the design process, is pivotal in ensuring a product's success on the market. Through observing end users, a more definitive understanding of the design task can be obtained, thus leading to a stronger and better attained solution.

Having gained his Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Design, from Loughborough University, James' strengths lie in concept design and development which are primarily communicated in the form of sketch and Computer Aided Design manifestations. James' strong styling ability is underpinned with a sound technical knowledge of functional product design, which ensures feasible resolutions are obtained from even the most unconventional of ideas.

James is a very active member of the design team and has recently been heading up the re-branding of Innovate Product Design and also serves as Innovate's in-house photographer.

In his spare time, James can be found exploring the county of Dorset and enjoys nothing more than witnessing a spectacular sunset over the Jurassic Coast.
