Travelling with young children isn’t easy—especially when they need to sit still on your lap for long stretches. That challenge sparked the idea for WriggleEase: a clever child seat designed to soothe and secure babies during flights, train journeys, movies, or any situation where lap-time turns into a wriggly struggle. From sketch to certified product, Innovate Design helped bring this travel essential to life.

The Spark

The inventor, a parent herself, knew firsthand how difficult it can be to keep a baby settled and safe on your lap—especially during long journeys. Frustrated by the lack of solutions on the market, she envisioned a product that would provide comfort for the child and peace of mind for the parent. The concept was simple but powerful: a secure, lightweight, and airline-accepted seat to make travelling smoother for everyone.

The Journey with Innovate

With only a rough idea and a few early sketches, she turned to Innovate Design for help. Grace and the Innovate team guided her through the entire development process—starting with protecting her intellectual property and moving through prototyping, material selection, and design refinement.

What’s Next?

With successful adoption by travelling families, the focus is now on scaling awareness and expanding distribution. The inventor continues to receive positive feedback and is exploring opportunities to grow the WriggleEase brand.
