Inspiration Behind XLOO

The idea for the XLOO Toilet Seat was born out of necessity. Tim Cross, the inventor and founder of XLOO Limited, faced the everyday problem of foul odours lingering in his large en-suite bathroom, where the noise and inefficiency of ceiling fans only exacerbated the issue. Determined to create a solution, Tim began a journey to develop a toilet seat that could immediately tackle unpleasant smells before they spread throughout the room.

The Journey

The road to bringing XLOO to life was not without challenges. One of the key hurdles was developing a simple, effective prototype that could be retrofitted to existing toilets and powered by rechargeable batteries. After creating six prototypes over 15 years, the XLOO team finally achieved a production model that met their high standards. This final product uses advanced technology to purify the air instantly, offering a seamless and easy-to-install solution for households and commercial properties alike.

Working with Innovate

Tim’s collaboration with Innovate played a crucial role in the product’s development. Innovate provided valuable feedback, helping to refine the prototypes and develop a working model. Through Innovate’s extensive network, XLOO was introduced to one of our manufacturers in the South East whose enthusiasm and expertise aligned perfectly with the project’s vision. After multiple virtual meetings and a final trip to Hong Kong, our partner became both a manufacturer and a shareholder in XLOO.

Highlights & Achievements

One of the most significant milestones for XLOO was its debut at the Spring 2024 Ideal Home Show at Olympia. Demonstrating the toilet seat to an audience for the first time, Tim sold the first unit to an attendee on the opening day. This moment marked the culmination of years of hard work and dedication to solving a common yet often overlooked problem.

Future Plans

Looking ahead, XLOO Limited has ambitious plans for expansion. The company is preparing to launch a global marketing campaign and introduce new bathroom-related products, such as the XLOO Toilet Brush and XLOO Gents Urinal. With a focus on international sales through various platforms and distributors, XLOO aims to become a household name worldwide.
