The Innovate team had the privilege of being invited to a special event at the House of Commons Thursday 26th April, to celebrate World IP Day and the 25th anniversary of IPAN.
IPAN is the Intellectual Property Awareness Network, a non-profit organisation that is committed to improve the understanding of Intellectual Property (IP) in the UK. It focuses its activities on the Education, Finance and Economics, and Parliamentary sectors.
Every April, the IPAN Parliamentary Group organises an invitation event for parliamentarians and IP Opinion leaders to celebrate World IP Day. The event helps to promote the importance of IP to the future economy in the UK.
The impressive line-up of speakers, which included Sam Gyimah MP, Minister of State for Universities, Science, Research and Innovation and Debbie Bestwick MBE, CEO of Team17, international computer games company, discussed the importance of IP and its future in a post-Brexit Britain.
It was a great experience for us – Happy World IP Day!
