One of our favourite shows, Dragons' Den, debuted its 17th season last Sunday on BBC 2.
This series sees a new Dragon joining the Den, Sarah Davies MBE. At aged 35, she's the youngest Dragon to be on the show but by no means the least qualified. Her self-founded company, Crafter's Companion, has an annual turnover of ÂŁ25million and employs 200 people, so it's safe to say she will fit nicely into the line of leather chairs.
Sarah rose to business stardom when her self-designed product, The Enveloper, sold over 15000 units in 10 minutes after being featured on Ideal World shopping channel. A self-made, successful inventor? She is sure to be a favourite with us.
In other news... We are so excited to share that an Innovate client, Teirnan McCorkell, will be appearing on this series of the show with his product pipeEASY. It's a tool that’s helps its user cut around any size pipes, posts or pillars protruding from either floors, walls, or ceilings with 100% accuracy.
Teirnan has worked tirelessly on this product that he believes in, and we are so happy he has made it onto the show. Stay tuned and see if he gets backed by one of the Dragons! Teirnan joins the club of Innovate clients who have been featured on the show, including the incredibly successful Sian Ellingworth with Buddies Toothpaste.
Dragons' Den will be on our screens for a further 13 weeks of pure joy and innovation, we hope you enjoy it as much as we will!
