Design Innovation Plastics Award Winners announced
Established in 1985, the Design Innovation Plastics (DIP) was celebrating its 20th year. For Innovate it was its 3rd year running sponsoring the event. Megan Cattley, a second year Design for Industry student from Northumbria University, won a placement with us plus £500 with her degradable eye surgical equipment.
The aim of the award is to recognise the role of plastics as a key design material in our modern world and to give student a chance to meet established UK plastics industry and design professionals. This year finalist had the chance to meet and listen to an inspirational presentation from Franck Stephenson, the Designer of the Modern Mini, McLaren P1, Ferrari F430,
